Mark Hoffmann – Managing director

Mark Hoffmann, Gründerszene, GeschäftsführerMark Hoffmann is managing director of Vertical Media GmbH, VentureVillage’s holding company. Before Mark came to Vertical Media, he completed a two-year practical training at German esports channel ESL TV and German gaming TV station GIGA. Most recently, he was employed in the role of managing editor and presenter.

Linsey Fryatt – Managing Editor

linsey fryattLinsey Fryatt is responsible for editorial coordination and strategy of the site. Linsey was previously editor of UK lifestyle and technology website Stuff.tv and worked for several high-profile corporate clients and publications in London before making the inspired decision to move to Berlin.

Elaine Jung – Features Editor

Elaine drives VentureVillage’s editorial content, generates in-depth stories, and heads the site’s video features. Born and raised in Perth, Australia, Elaine’s an experienced broadcast journalist, presenter, and news producer. After spending close to two years travelling and working her way around the world, she’s decided to call Berlin ‘home’ after being captured by the city’s vibrant culture and inspiring entrepreneurial scene.

Magdalena Räth – Editor

Magdalena is a writer and translator for VentureVillage. After completing her translation degree programme for German, English, French and Spanish at the University of Leipzig, she gained initial experience with the startup world while working at Spreadshirt. At VentureVillage, she now devotes herself to writing about startups and the German web scene.

Pascal Rosin – IT

Pascal is VentureVillage’s software developer and system administrator. He develops the website’s features and editorial tools. Being a passionate Linux user, he also administrates VentureVillage’s IT. Before his time at VentureVillage, Pascal studied computer engineering and developed mainly digital electronics at TechnoLab and the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications.
